SET and Universities |

For several decades the number of universities and colleges that used the system of student evaluation of professors and instructors was rapidly increasing after in the middle of 90's it covered almost all of them. At that time, however, it was becoming more and more obvious, that this system had many unexpected effects, that lead to overall decline in the quality of university education. | |

Newspaper articles, journal essays and eventually also empirical research studies criticizing various harmful effects of SET began to appear more and more frequently so that their total quantity is today enormous. Soon some of the colleges and universities began to drop SET system. It is incredible, that there still exist universities, as BU for example, that did not even notice that such a problem exists. |
