Zsa Zsa Gabor

Mike Nachshen

Zsa Zsa Gabor was born in Budapest, Hungary on 6 FEB 1917. After being voted Miss Hungary in 1936, she acted on the European stage. Her first television role was on the 1950's TV series "Climax!" She acted in several movies and television shows thereafter.

Her most notable role (in my opinion) was as a super-villain in the '60s TV show, "Batman" TV series. She was Minerva, the proprietress of a mineral spa whose water had hypnotic effects upon millionaires. Even though she trapped the Dynamic Duo innumerable times, Batman and the Boy Wonder always managed to escape and bring her to justice.

Although she still acts today, most people know of her for two other reasons:

1. She's been married eight times and divorced seven-- that's one more than Liz Taylor..

2.She has a combative personality which landed her in jail for a few days when she slapped a member of the LAPD

She has also been the subject of several un-flattering books. Recently, she's had the honor of recieving her own reference in the Jane and Michael Stern's award winning ``Encyclopedia of Bad Taste.''
Whether you view her as a glamorous star or a pretentious bore, there is no denying Zsa Zsa has made a name for herself in the United States.
